Montreal, Quebec – The Montreal Impact beat the Connecticut Wolves 2-0 before a season-high crowd of 7,083 at Claude-Robillard Stadium. It was the second win in two games this season for the Impact against the Wolves.

The Impact had a strong first half and scored two goals. After a nice pass by Nick DeSantis, Giuliano Oliviero scored his fourth this season with a nice header in the 4th minute. Darren Tilley scored the Impact s second goal in the 36th minute. Tilley’s goal came off of a Mauro Biello’s pass that deflected off Darko Kolic. It was the 10th goal of Darren Tilley this season.

In the second half, no goals were scored, eventhough the Impact played with a one man advantage for the last 36th minutes. Connecticut’s Paulo Dos Santos was ejected in the 54th minute for punching Bill Sedgewick. After this incident, Wolves keeper Adegboyaga Oshoniyi did some nice saves including one on a penalty kick by Lloyd Barker in the 86th minute.

The Impact plays its final regular-season home game Sunday afternoon (4:00 pm) against the Minnesota Thunder.
